The new job is dope
Two weeks here at the new gig and things are going pretty swimmingly.
All of the members of the team are pretty rad and they have a ton of expertise. Team meetings are a blast because I get to watch a great team think through tough issues. The other designer here’s got a lot of great things to share — I especially look forward to learning a lot from him.
I’m working downtown with a commute of 11 minutes and free parking. The office building I work in is pretty impressive. It’s on the River Walk and I have a great view from my shared office (Hey — I can see my house from here! [No, seriously, I can see my neighborhood.]). There are some old friends working in the office upstairs so I get to take walks with them every once and a while.
I haven’t worked on anything too involved yet but I look forward to challenging projects and helping this company forge new directions.
